Jalen Ramsey est (de nouveau !) le cornerback le mieux payé de la ligue. Selon Adam Shefter (ESPN), le joueur de 29 ans a décroché un contrat de 3 ans rémunéré 24,1 millions de dollars par saison. L’inflation a du bon pour certains : En 2020, Ramsey avait précédemment signé chez les Rams un contrat record aux alentours de 21 millions de dollars annuels. Pour sa première saison chez les Dolphins en 2023, Jalen Ramsey n’a joué qu’à partir de la semaine 8. Le joueur avait en effet été victime d’une déchirure du ménisque lors du camp d’entraînement. Cela ne l’a pas empêché de cumuler 3 interceptions et 5 passes défendues en 10 matchs. Il a aussi reçu une nomination au Pro-Bowl. Avec le départ du coordinateur défensif Vic Fangio (66 ans), et son remplaçement par le profil plus novateur d’Anthony Weaver (44 ans), on peut espérer une utilisation de Ramsey plus variée que la saison passée. Au niveau des tight ends, ce contrat moyennant 12,1 millions de dollars par an représente désormais le 9ème plus haut contrat de la ligue. Pat Freiermuth se situe donc entre le Bear Cole Kmet (12,5 millions par an) et le Texan Dalton Schultz (12 millions par an). Sans surprise, la tête du classement est occupée par Travis Kelce (17,1 millions annuel), TJ Hockenson (16,5 millions) et George Kittle (15 millions). Niveau production, Freiermuth a pourtant terminé la saison avec le 32ème total de yards à la réception pour un tight end (308 yards et 2 touchdowns en 12 matchs). 🎯 Hull Banksy artwork to get permanent home 👏 A mural by graffiti artist Banksy will be given a permanent home in Trinity Market, Hull City Council has confirmed. The image first appeared on the Scott Street Bridge over the River Hull in 2018. In October 2019, the council removed the artwork when demolition work on the bridge started. The council has told the BBC it is now working with specialist consultants and will publish a detailed report next month. In a statement, the authority said the work being carried out is looking at an "appropriate location" within the market and "relevant design work". It added an application for Listed Building Consent might also have to be made before work to display the artwork can commence. A number of options to display the artwork have been considered by the authority in recent years, including building a replica bridge on the original location. Councillor Rob Pritchard, the portfolio holder for culture and leisure at Hull City Council said the chosen market location would help to improve access and security. He said: "It will protect it from graffiti, damage or even from being stolen and allow people to see it in a safe space. It's about finding a balance. "It will also be protected from the weather so it should be a really good place to have it." The segment of bridge, measuring 22ft by 6ft (7m by 2m) and weighing more than a tonne, depicts a child wielding a wooden sword with a pencil attached to the end and a caption that reads: "Draw the raised bridge!" Within days of its appearance in 2018, the artwork was defaced, which led to a protective screen being installed by the council. Although he is particularly known for his stenciled art featuring policemen and rats, over the years he has extended his practice to include installation and performance. Banksy’s art often appears unexpectedly, and it typically causes a flurry of media attention. He generally claims the work on social media after it has been spotted. Though Banksy’s identity was well guarded, he came to notice as a freehand graffiti artist in 1993. Using stencils since 2000 to enhance his speed, he developed a distinctive iconography of highly recognizable images, such as rats and policemen, that communicated his antiauthoritarian message. With wry wit and stealth, Banksy merged graffiti art with installation and performance. In the 2003 exhibition “Turf War,” he painted on the bodies of live pigs. Nathalie Emmanuel, Omar Sy, Sam Worthington, Eric Cantona… Ils sont tous au casting du nouveau film du légendaire cinéaste chinois John Woo, The Killer. Et pour son nouveau long métrage, le réalisateur de Volte/Face, Mission : Impossible II et A toute épreuve s'auto-remake. Le film d'action est en effet une nouvelle version du classique hongkongais homonyme dans lequel un tueur à gages décidé à changer de vie va, lors de son dernier contrat, provoquer la cécité d'une jeune chanteuse. Sorti il y a 35 ans, The Killer était porté par Chow Yun-Fat et Danny Lee. En projet depuis 9 ans, ce remake dévoile aujourd'hui une bande-annonce riche en action dans laquelle notre Omar Sy national parle anglais. 🎯 200 millions de dollars : un budget record pour la suite la plus attendue sur Netflix ? 🎬 Prévu pour 2025 sur Netflix, le troisième volet de la franchise "À couteaux tirés" est très attendu par les fans de Daniel Craig. Et cette suite qui s'annonce grandiose pourrait bien avoir un énorme budget. La franchise "À couteaux tirés" a de beaux jours devant elle sur Netflix puisque Benoit Blanc reprend du service ! Le détective à la Hercule Poirot incarné par Daniel Craig sera bientôt de retour pour une nouvelle enquête dans un troisième film, après À couteaux tirés et Glass Onion Le premier volet était sorti au cinéma et avait rencontré un joli succès mais sa suite Glass Onion, sortie sur Netflix en 2022, avait dépassé toutes les attentes puisqu’elle a été un véritable carton, au point de figurer parmi les 10 films anglophones les plus vus de la plateforme. Un budget record pour le troisième volet "À couteaux tirés" ? Le réalisateur Rian Johnson avait révélé le titre du troisième volet - Wake Up Dead Man - et dévoilé un premier teaser sur les réseaux qui annonçaient une tonalité totalement différente des deux premiers films Wake Up Dead Man : une histoire À couteaux tirés promet d'être encore plus fort, plus explosif et plus dangereux que les deux films précédents. Mais il semblerait qu'il mette aussi la barre plus haut niveau budget. Selon les informations de Jeff Sneider, spécialiste de l'industrie sur X/Twitter, le budget de Wake Up Dead Man serait cinq fois supérieur aux budgets de 40 millions de dollars des deux premiers volets. Cela voudrait dire que le budget de Wake Up, Dead Man atteindrait les 200 millions de dollars. Cette information, qui n'a pas été confirmée ni par Netflix, ni par Rian Johnson, ni par la production du film, est évidemment à prendre avec des pincettes puisqu'il est étonnant de voir un budget aussi conséquent pour un troisième volet alors que les deux films précédents ont eu un budget bien moindre. D'autant plus que Netflix a déjà déboursé une immense somme pour acquérir les droits de la franchise, à savoir plus de 450 millions de dollars ! Il est compréhensible qu'avec le succès rencontré par Glass Onion, Netflix veuille investir un peu plus dans le troisième film mais pour quoi ? 🇩🇿 Conservation and preservation of the city of Constantine, Algeria 🇩🇿 The project in Constantine is part of the cross-sector project “Poverty Reduction through Sustainable World Heritage Management”, launched in 2002, on the theme of eliminating poverty and extreme poverty through the enhancement and management of cultural resources. Constantine is one of the world’s oldest cities. Founded by the Phoenicians, it became the capital of the Numidian Kingdom under the name Cirta. Completely destroyed by Maxence in 311CE, it was rebuilt shortly afterwards by Emperor Constantine who named it after himself. Constantine has preserved the historic relics of three millennia of Numidian, Roman, Muslim, Ottoman and colonial occupation. The ancient city has been listed as an Algerian national heritage site since December 2004. The cities of Constantine, Algeria, and Grenoble, France, have been partnered since 1999. From 2002, they have been involved in decentralised co-operation and technical actions which have expanded over the years to include five components: institutional co-operation, economic development, civil society, youth and health. In 2003 a technical mission highlighted the need to add an additional “heritage” component to the decentralised cooperation between Grenoble and Constantine, and to focus actions on the ancient city of Constantine, an outstanding heritage site under threat. In January 2005, another mission enabled the identification of suitable partners to steer the pilot project “Heritage and Poverty Alleviation” in Constantine. Apart from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs involved in elaborating the project, the Président de l’Assemblée populaire communale de Constantine (president of the people’s communal assembly of Constantine) and the City of Grenoble expressed their interest. The University of Rome III established an urban conservation plan in collaboration with the rehabilitation unit of the ancient city. The Italian team carried out an inventory of the developed part of the ancient historic centre and proposed a safeguarding perimetre. Finally, the mission emphasised the need to implement a tool similar to the French planning tool SCOT, (Coherent Territorial Planning Scheme) for territorial planning in Constantine so new constructions would not destroy the landscape value of this spectacular site, and also to improve contact between Constantine and the surrounding cities. Finally, following the exchanges and the previous missions, in January 2006, a technical mission was carried out jointly by the City of Grenoble and the World Heritage Centre, in the framework of the France-UNESCO Cooperation Agreement, to assess the progress of ongoing components carried out in the framework of decentralised cooperation. Regarding the heritage component, the municipal authorities forwarded the conservation plan prepared by the University of Rome III to the city of Grenoble. This activity allowed to sensibilise authorities at different levels to acknowledge the importance of heritage and include it in activities formally focusing on the socio-economic and institutional environment. #Algeria #Algérie #Alger

🇩🇿 Béjaïa – Kabylia’s Largest City 🇩🇿 The city of Béjaïa, located on the Mediterranean coastline of Algeria, is both the capital of the Béjaïa Province and the largest city in Kabylia – a region in the north of Algeria which includes part of the Tell Atlas Mountains as well as the Djurdjura and Gouraya National Parks. Moreover, Béjaïa is home to one of the largest Berber speaking populations in Algeria. Hugging the shoreline of the Gulf of Béjaïa, the city has the Yemma Gouraya mountain as its backdrop, with its natural attractions including the Aiguades beach, the Soummam river and Monkey Peak, or Pic des Singes. The settlement which later became the town of Béjaïa was originally founded by Numidian Berbers. The town later served as a port in the Carthaginian and Roman eras gaining importance under Roman Emperor Vespasian as a gateway to Mauretania. Interestingly, an altar dedicated to town councilor of Saldae (now Béjaïa) Gaius Cornelius Peregrinus, was discovered in the ruins of a fort in Maryport, England, on the western extremity of Hadrian’s Wall – the defensive fortification in Britain under Roman rule at the time. For a short while Béjaïa was the capital city of the kingdom formed by Germanic Vandals, who were conquered and replaced by the Byzantines in around 533AD. This kingdom gave way to the Berber Hammadid dynasty, with Béjaïa serving as the capital city, commercial and cultural center. At that time Béjaïa was named En Nassria by the Hammadid leader Emir En Nasser. Construction work at this time included fortifications and an impressive palace. In 1152 the Hammadid Empire fell to the Almohad ruler Abd al-Mu’min who invaded the area from his base in Ouest Algeria. By the 13th century, Béjaïa was in the possession of the Hafsid Empire, and by the early 16th century was under control of Spain (1510-1555) before being taken over by the Ottoman Turks. At this time the Barbary Pirates dominated the coastline that came to be known as the Barbary Coast – the middle and western coastal regions of North Africa, including Morocco, Algeria, Libya and Tunisia. Béjaïa was a stronghold of the Barbary Pirates until the town was captured by the French in 1833, later gaining independence along with the rest of Algeria. Some relics from its tumultuous history can be found in the Béjaïa Museum, and landmarks include a fortress built by the Spanish in 1545, a huge statue of a soldier commemorating the Algerian War of Independence, and a 16th century mosque. Monkey Peak, which forms part of the Gouraya National Park, is a an essential habitat for the endangered Barbary Macaque and offers a spectacular view of the bay and the coastal city of Béjaïa. #Algeria #Algérie #Béjaïa
